In the shadow of a looming wall, our love once stood so tall,
But now, it seems, a distance grows, a barrier in-between us flows.
Efforts made to breach the divide, to find the love we can’t deny,
Yet every step we try to take, this wall seems firmer, hard to break.
We’ve searched for paths to climb above, to soar beyond this wall we love,
But the wall stands strong, and so do we, on separate sides, we cannot see.
And as we try to push aside, the doubts and fears we can’t hide,
Our hearts entangled, souls perplexed, unsure if love has been annexed.
We once believed in dreams we shared, a love so deep, a love so rare,
But now, we’re lost in the unknown, unsure of what our hearts have sown.
The whispers of affection fade, like echoes in a dark cascade,
And though we try to rekindle the flame, love feels elusive, not the same.
In the silence of our hearts’ refrain, a sense of loss, an ache of pain,
We yearn to feel what once was true, a love so pure, a love so new.
Yet this wall, it lingers, standing tall, like a cruel twist of fate’s cruel call,
For all our trying, love remains behind, imprisoned by this wall’s cruel bind.
And so, we stand on distant shores, our hearts entwined, yet love implores,
Will we find a way to break the seal, to mend the love that we once feel?
Or will this wall be our divide, forever separate, side by side?
Time will tell if love can mend, and if this wall will ever end.
